Departure is from Volos heading south of the city. We will pick you up from the place you tell us and at the time we agree.
Agria is the first village we encounter after starting the tour. A few minutes later we arrive at Ano Lechonia.
There you will see the Railway Station and the Pelion train, which departs periodically toward its final destination, the village of Milies.
Initially the railway line started from Volos. Its construction began in 1892, and it was put into operation in 1903. Today it operates as a tourist train, attracting many visitors.

The next village we will stop in is Agios Georgios Nileias, which was built around the 15th century. It is located at an altitude of 700 m. overlooking the Pagasitikos Gulf.
It was given the nickname “Nileias” in 1881, referencing the name of an ancient city that was located near Volos.
The church of Agios Georgios dominates the center of the village. The original church was founded in 1701, but suffered significant damage from an earthquake in 1955. In 1984 it was completely renovated and given back to the villagers.
The second church of the village, dedicated to Agios Athanasios, is one of the most beautiful existing examples of popular architecture. It was built by the craftsman Dimos Zipaniotis in 1795.

Continuing on our way, we encounter the traditional village of Pinakates.
The main attractions of the village are the church of Agios Dimitrios, the marble fountain (1894) and the old traditional houses. Many of them are completely renovated and operate as guesthouses.
The residents are mainly engaged in tourism and wood carving, making masterpieces.

Vyzitsa is the next village, and is built with the traditional architecture of Pelion. Walking through the cobblestone streets of the village you will see houses that date back more than a century and today function as traditional guesthouses. In the square you will find local products, sweets and fruits famous for their delicious flavors.
